Gagauz

Gagauz is a Turkic language associated with communities in Moldova and Ukraine and in parts of the Balkans. A language map does not imply that everyone in those territories speaks Gagauz or shares one identity.

Glottolog identifies Gagauz as gaga1249 (ISO 639-3: gag), lists countries of use and provides references on its classification. Its endangerment assessment is an attributed research assessment, not a prediction about every family. Language transmission, schooling and multilingual everyday life deserve separate local study.
